Be careful when choosing classes.. A lot of these classes will not transfer to a four year school so you will have to take them twice!! I wanted to go to IU but I'm having to start all over again.. Really!!!
I can't describe my experience here without taking all day but this is a wonderful school. The class sizes are small enough to get the attention you need, the staff are very friendly, and accommodates for older adults who separate lives. This school has opened various doors for me within my field and provides a lot of different services for their students. I am proud to say that I will finally be a graduate this December and will be moving on to UofL. I know some people have had issues with their courses transferring but all of my courses transferred. I also did my own research and took extra classes I knew I would need for UofL. Thank you Ivy Tech!
Excellent school with great instructors. The nursing school staff really work hard with their students to help them succeed. Had no problem passing NCLEX :)
This college excels at making sure you have what you need to succeed and good technology courses. They just completely redid their technology degrees and they're pretty amazing right now
Face to face classes are great. Online courses are a waste of time. Professors DO NOT email back although they are required to do so within 36 hours. I have tried three semesters to get into one course and it has been cancelled every single time. It is an extreme pain to try to get into the required courses but it is a simple matter of them pressing one button to remove you from a course that you are ALREADY ACTIVELY ATTENDING. I attended both sessions via webcast for my online course and then, without warning, received an email informing me that I have been dropped for not attending. Within minutes I had no access to the course. This is unacceptable. As soon as I am able, I am kissing this place goodbye. I might as well just spend double the money to attend IUS. I am letting all my friends know that they should skip going two years at Ivy Tech and just go for a four-year college immediately.
