Well I was just looking for a spot to grab a bite to eat that wasn't fast food or any place I've been before, Well Google gave me a short list because my town(Sellersburg, Indiana) is like that list.. Small, anyway Rubbing Butts a BBQ joint was my 1st choice BUTT after seeing the Ad for a place called The Chicken House and looking over there menu it became a clear cut choice, OH nothing against BBQ but it will always be Fried Chicken for E
We have chicken in the fridge. Big portions , good hot food, they have been in business for years they must be doing somthing right.
As a man of color I felt like people where watching me eat the chicken. I felt very violated.
We finally ate here last night, after hearing about this restaurant for years.being Wed, and after 6 it was not crowded. We were warned about a long wait because chicken is fried to order.its the best way. The slaw we chose was really good, we added a little salt but that is a preference.
Fabulous chickens dinner rolls fries slaw green beans. Just yummy food. Very popular.
Slow!!!!!! The chicken is good but I promise you their is no rush. It's made to drink beer and wait for hour for 3 piece chicken meal. But... If in no rush and want to chat drink this is your place.
The portions were huge, mash potatoes and white gravey very good, chicken hot and crispy , well seasoned. A massive home made yeast roll, good green beans, and dumplings. They were the only thing so so, but I am sure people that cant make them would love them. Waitress was efficient and friendly and another gentelman was also.
